Cos De Baha's TN Serum is a well-formulated depigmenting treatment, based on two active ingredients with distinct and complementary mechanisms of action. 5% tranexamic acid (TXA) works by inhibiting the plasmin-mediated interaction between keratinocytes and melanocytes—this mechanism is distinct from that of hydroquinone or kojic acid, making it safer for prolonged use without risk of ochronosis. 5% niacinamide complements this action by blocking the transfer of melanosomes from melanocytes to surface keratinocytes. These two combined mechanisms offer synergistic depigmenting action covering the entire melanogenesis pathway. Additional points: Aloe Barbadensis as the first ingredient in the INCI (before water) indicates a concentrated aloe base—a markedly soothing character. Glycereth-26 and Betaine act as humectants. No fragrance, no alcohol, no exfoliating acids—excellent overall tolerance for sensitive skin.
