Epil'O — Paradise Bay Post-Hair Removal Oil Gel

The galenic formulation of this oil-gel is the most original in the Epiloderm range. STEARALKONIUM HECTORITE is an organoclay — clay modified by a quaternary ammonium salt — which structures the oily phase into a gel without a classic emulsifier and without water as a base. The formula is technically almost anhydrous (AQUA appears after GLYCERIN in the INCI, so in a small quantity). This organoclay + PROPYLENE CARBONATE system is used in professional galenic formulations for oily gels whose viscosity collapses upon skin warming, allowing for fluid application and rapid penetration without a greasy residue. This is a sophisticated formulation for a product at this price point. SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE (synthetic mica) is a lamellar pigment that gives a subtle pearlescent sheen to the skin — an immediate aesthetic advantage and differentiator in the post-epilation category. Like the entire Epiloderm anti-regrowth range, the functional active ingredient is LARREA DIVARICATA EXTRACT at 3%. Hepatotoxic orally (FDA 1992 warning), limited topical systemic absorption — "do not swallow" mention is important on the pump bottle within reach, especially on the 200ml family bathroom format. The fragrance profile of Paradise Bay is the most understated in the entire range: GERANYL ACETATE (the only mandatory EU allergen), AMYL SALICYLATE (non-mandatory, well-documented safety), VANILLIN (proactive), ACETYL CEDRENE (synthetic cedar-type musk, non-mandatory). Only one mandatory EU allergen declaration — this is the best tolerance profile in the Epiloderm range. People sensitive to complex fragrances may find this product more suitable than the high-concentration serum or the Limoncello treatment. CI 77491 (RED IRON OXIDE) is an inorganic mineral pigment with very good skin safety. Its presence explains the color of the product. SODIUM METABISULFITE is present as in the other products in the range — to be noted for sulfite-sensitive individuals.
