This Mango variant is the second simplest formula in the Epil'O scrub series after Pineapple: 8 ingredients in total. The common technical base (exfoliating sucrose + organic humectant glycerin) is supplemented with the captive Mango fragrance and two EU mandatory declaration allergens: LINALOOL (a terpenic component present in many citrus and white flower essential oils) and BENZYL SALICYLATE. BENZYL SALICYLATE deserves special attention. It is an ester of salicylic acid and benzyl alcohol, commonly used in perfumery for its soft floral note. It is documented with moderate photosensitizing potential—less pronounced than that of bergamot furanocoumarins (Limoncello variant), but sufficient to warrant a recommendation for sun vigilance within 48 hours of application. In a pre-depilation context, this precaution is even more important as the depilated area is doubly sensitized. The orange color is obtained by the colorant CI 15985 (Sunset Yellow / Yellow 6 Lake), a synthetic food azo dye. To be noted in case of known hypersensitivity to azo dyes. This colorant is particularly known for reactions in profiles intolerant to aspirin or salicylates—an interesting coincidence with the simultaneous presence of BENZYL SALICYLATE which belongs to the chemical family of salicylates: salicylate-sensitive profiles (documented aspirin intolerance) should avoid this variant. Overall intermediate tolerance profile—more loaded than Pineapple (0 allergens) and Cherry (non-mandatory BENZALDEHYDE), less loaded than Limoncello (5 allergens + bergamot).
