Jowaé — Mattifying Balancing Fluid 40ml

This fluid combines three complementary sebum-regulating mechanisms. Zinc PCA is a zinc chelate documented for its regulatory action on sebaceous glands — it is the most robustly studied sebum-regulating active ingredient in the formula. Niacinamide (position 7 in the INCI, concentration not disclosed by the manufacturer) inhibits melanosome transfer and contributes to sebum regulation — the brand does not claim it as a key active ingredient, but its presence is relevant. Lactic acid at position 23 (INCI) probably acts more as a pH agent and very gentle exfoliant than as an AHA formulated at an exfoliating concentration. Lumiphenols (Sempervivum Tectorum Extract) are Jowaé's signature and patented active ingredient — rich in antioxidant polyphenols, they help the skin resist environmental aggressions. Literature on Sempervivum Tectorum in cosmetics primarily comes from the manufacturer, but the antioxidant profile of extremophile plants is well-documented in biochemistry. Points of vigilance: PERFUME/FRAGRANCE present (excluded from SAFE pack, not recommended for pregnancy). CHLORPHENESIN (antimicrobial preservative) can occasionally cause contact reactions on very sensitive skin. The clinical study with 97% satisfaction (33 volunteers) is a perception study, not an instrumental measurement — robust data for consumer positioning, less so for clinical comparison. Best Before Date to monitor: the product is sold at a 50% discount on the manufacturer's website in May 2026 — possible end-of-line or reformulation.
