Its mechanism is not identical to retinol (it is not a retinoid), but in vitro studies show modulation of genes involved in skin remodeling. Its position in the INCI (8th ingredient) indicates a significant formulation concentration. Hydrolyzed Collagen is present for its surface film-forming effect—it does not penetrate the dermis but contributes to an immediate plumping appearance. Adenosine is documented for its cosmetic smoothing properties. Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a prebiotic gum with interesting moisturizing and soothing properties for sensitive skin. Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate supports tolerance. Hydrogenated Lecithin improves penetration. Two points of caution. First: FRAGRANCE (PARFUM) is declared in the INCI. No individual allergens are listed above EU thresholds, suggesting modest concentrations, but the presence of generic fragrance in a product positioned for "sensitive skin" deserves mention.
