This serum combines two anti-aging active ingredients with distinct and complementary mechanisms. PDRN (Sodium DNA) is a polydeoxyribonucleotide that supports tissue regeneration at the cellular level – its plant origin (Damask rose) is a notable differentiation from classic salmon DNA-based PDRN formulas. The literature on plant-based PDRN in cosmetics is less extensive than on marine PDRN, but the mechanism of supporting regeneration via adenosine receptors is documented for the class. Retinal (retinaldehyde, 0.1%) is a third-generation retinoid located between retinol and retinoic acid in the metabolic pathway – it converts to retinoic acid faster than retinol, making it more active at an equivalent concentration. At 0.1%, the manufacturer positions its tolerance as suitable for sensitive skin. Regulatory point: EU Regulation 2024/996 specifically restricts Retinol and Retinyl esters (0.3% on the face) but does not target retinaldehyde – therefore, this serum is EU compliant for this active ingredient. The 5-peptide complex (Tripeptide-1, AH8, Copper Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4) addresses collagen, elasticity, and repair. Adenosine (metabolic cofactor) and Ceramide NP strengthen the barrier during treatment. Centella Asiatica provides additional soothing support.
