At 1%, the effect is expected to be superior to 0.5% while maintaining the same tolerance profile. Bakuchiol's mechanism is distinct from retinol: it indirectly modulates nuclear RAR receptors, supporting collagen synthesis and epidermal differentiation without the irritating effects of synthetic retinoids. Hydrangea Macrophylla Leaf Extract (Jeju Hydrangea, "Tamrasan") contains isocoumarins and phloroglucinols documented in vitro for complementary action on fine lines — clinical data on the finished product are not published.
